Dr. Amy Everly grew up in Iowa, where she attended Iowa State University and received her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Ecology. She took time off after undergraduate school to explore different avenues, working in various roles such as a zookeeper, retail manager, and veterinary assistant. In 2003, Dr. Everly went back to Iowa State University and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2007.
Dr. Everly was certified in veterinary acupuncture through the Chi Institute in 2011 and has also undergone extensive training in herbal therapy. She completed training in veterinary chiropractic at Options for Animals in 2014, becoming certified with the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association. In 2015, Dr. Everly received training in Myofascial Trigger Point Release Therapy. These areas of advanced training allow her to develop individualized treatment plans that complement, but aren’t limited to, conventional medicine!
Utilizing her training in Acupuncture, Chiropractic, and Trigger Point therapy, Dr. Everly can address the many health concerns of her patients. One area that is close to her heart is senior pet care. She has a soft spot for older pets and a passion for making sure they live a happy, comfortable life throughout their golden years.
At home, Dr. Everly lives with several four-legged family members, which keep her life busy and entertaining. She loves spending time with family and friends, outdoor activities, and traveling. Each year, she takes a trip with her father to explore exciting areas all over the world!
